Intimate Class Size
Just a handful of participants in a private conference room. Everyone addresses each other by name, with breaks every hour.
Active Participation
Up to 10 hours of hands-on ECG interpretation. Ask questions at any time — you don't wait until the end of a presentation.
Materials Provided
Program manual with all lecture slides, ECG calipers, 3× magnifying lens, and a straight-edge strip for aligning deflections.
A Truly Advanced curriculum
The advanced curriculum of The Masterclass in Advanced Dysrhythmias is built for clinicians who refuse to settle for basic rhythm interpretation. This is a true advanced dysrhythmia course—a fast‑moving, mechanism‑driven excursion into wide complex tachycardias, exit blocks with pacemaker resets, concealed transseptal conduction, and the high‑risk patterns that demand expert‑level ECG mastery. Every module uses real‑world ECGs to sharpen recognition, accelerate decision‑making, and eliminate the guesswork that leads to dangerous misdiagnoses.
Guided by Jerry W. Jones, MD FACEP FAAEM, participants work through challenging cases step‑by‑step, learning exactly how experts analyze complex rhythms under pressure. If you’re searching for wide complex tachycardia training, advanced ECG interpretation, or a curriculum that finally explains why arrhythmias behave the way they do, this Masterclass delivers. It’s focused, high‑yield, and built to transform your clinical accuracy—fast.
CME Accreditation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements of the ACCME through the joint providership of American Medical Seminars and Medicus of Houston.
Physicians: American Medical Seminars designates this live activity for a maximum of 28 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
Nurses & NPs: The ANCC and AANPCB accept certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by ACCME-accredited organizations.
Physician Assistants: The AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from ACCME-accredited organizations.
Paramedics: Paramedics will receive 14.0 CAPCE-approved CEUs upon completion of the course.
International participants should check with their own licensing authority to confirm whether AMA credits can be applied toward specific renewal requirements.
Active Participation by all!
The Masterclass in Advanced Dysrhythmias is built around full‑contact learning. Every clinician in the room is actively interpreting, debating, and applying advanced rhythm analysis in real time. This isn’t passive instruction—it’s deliberate practice with expert guidance that sharpens your clinical instincts and exposes the subtle reasoning that separates competent interpretation from true mastery.
Learning by doing transforms complex dysrhythmias from abstract concepts into automatic skills. When you work through real‑world cases, make decisions under pressure, and articulate your interpretations, the knowledge becomes durable, intuitive, and immediately usable. You leave the course with confidence you can feel—because you’ve already done the work, not just watched it.
Learn to laddergram dysrhythmias!
Did you know that when you look at an ECG you are really looking at TWO ECGs – one superimposed on top of another? That’s right! The atria have their own ECG and the ventricles have theirs. Therein lies a PROBLEM! One ECG can interfere with analysis of the other. If only there were a way to separate them…
There is a way: a LADDERGRAM! A laddergram is a diagram that effectively lets you separate the atrial from the ventricular impulse. It allows you to follow the depolarization from the sinus node down through the ventricles. Conversely, it lets you follow an ectopic ventricular beat from the ventricles to the atria.
The laddergram is an indispensable tool for anyone wanting to cleverly and decisively decipher complex dysrhythmias. The Masterclasses are the only courses that teach LADDERGRAMS!
A Full day for Wide Complex tachycardias!
In this Masterclass, we devote an entire day to everyone’s nemesis: the wide complex tachycardias. The focus is ventricular tachycardia in all its forms—outflow tract tachycardias, fascicular VT, bundle branch reentry, monomorphic VT, polymorphic VT, and the uniquely treacherous Torsade de Pointes. We break each one down by mechanism, morphology, clinical context, and response to therapy so participants learn to recognize these patterns with speed and confidence.
Just as important, we tackle the look‑alikes. SVT with aberrancy, pre‑excited tachycardias, paced rhythms, and artifact can all masquerade as VT, and the consequences of misclassification are enormous. Throughout the day, you’ll learn the distinguishing features that separate one entity from another—subtle clues in axis, capture and fusion beats, QRS morphology, and clinical setting—so that when the monitor erupts with a wide, fast rhythm, you know exactly what you’re dealing with and what to do next.
With our compliments...
Every participant receives the materials needed to properly read and interpret ECGs during the course:
• Soft-cover Course Manual with lecture notes and ECG examples
• ECG calipers for accurate measurement
• 3× magnifying lens for detailed waveform analysis
• Straight-edge strip for aligning ECG deflections
All materials are provided compliments of Medicus of Houston.

WELCOME TO HOUSTON, TEXAS... YA'LL!
The first word spoken by a human standing on the moon was “Houston… Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.”
Houston is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the United States—home to residents who speak more than 145 languages—making it an easy, welcoming place for travelers from around the world. As the city that helped launch the first words from the moon, Houston blends global culture with a spirit of exploration.
Houston has two international airports: the George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby International Airport. Both airports provide domestic airline service throughout the US. Bush Intercontinental Airport is by far the larger of the two and has extensive service to North, Central and South America as well as Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Hobby Airport, in addition to its domestic routes, serves Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean regions.
Both airports can provide limousine service directly to the hotel. Of course, taxis and Uber are available.
