Our Story
What makes our classes different from the others is the truly advanced curricula and the small class sizes in The Masterclass in Advanced Electrocardiography and The Masterclass in Advanced Dysrhythmias.
All classes are live, taught by an internationally-acclaimed expert in electrocardiography. We are also known for the active participation of all attendees in the interpretation of complex ECGs while being guided by Dr. Jones.
Dr. Jones is a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine who has practiced internal medicine and emergency medicine for over 40 years. A graduate of Tulane University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, he became one of the first full-time emergency physicians — even before emergency medicine residencies and board certification.

Our Vision
Medicus of Houston was established in 2011 by Jerry W. Jones, MD FACEP FAAEM. We are a continuing medical education company dedicated to the improvement and augmentation of the ECG reading skills of healthcare providers the world over.
Although based in Houston, Texas, physicians and nurses travel from many different countries in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australasia to study advanced electrocardiography with Dr. Jones.

Academic Career & Honors
Dr. Jones has been on the teaching faculties of the University of Oklahoma and The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is a published author who has also been featured in the New York Times and the Annals of Emergency Medicine for his work in the developing field of telemedicine.
Additionally, Dr. Jones is also a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and a member of the American College of Cardiology.
