An Atmosphere for Learning

Imagine a CME course where there are just a few other participants besides you, where you are seated in a comfortable and luxurious private conference room, where everyone addresses each other by name, where you can ask questions at any time and even have the instructor go back over a concept for you. You can get up and help yourself to some complimentary refreshments whenever you want and, should you need to leave the room for whatever reason, you know you will be updated on what you missed when you return. There are breaks every hour but should you and the other participants want to pursue something a bit further before breaking - you can! Casual atmosphere, comfortable and luxurious surroundings, spontaneity and flexibility. This is what a CME course should be!

At Medicus of Houston, we strive to make your educational experience an enjoyable and memorable one. There are no large auditoriums or convention halls, no instructors that are unapproachable or unavailable as soon as the class is over. You are a participant - not one of five or six hundred audience members.

Welcome to the Rolls-Royce of advanced ECG courses as a former participant described us. You will have the same instructor throughout the course and you will participate in the interpretation of complex ECGs - during the class - while the instructor guides and assists you with the significant findings. No other course challenges you with such active participation - up to 14 hours of ECG interpretation. In addition to didactic lectures, there are also animations and videos included in our presentations.

A Truly Advanced Curriculum

All our scheduled courses are advanced. This is NOT a review course! Participants should already have at least an intermediate level of skill in reading and interpreting 12-lead ECGs and should have been reading them for at least two years. The only time spent on the “basics” is in clearing up some frequent misconceptions. Click HERE to view the four-day curriculum.

An International Phenomenon

Since our inception in 2011, Medicus of Houston has become recognized throughout the world for the quality of our teaching, the advanced nature of the subject matter, the open access to our instructors and the relaxed, individual atmosphere created by our small class size. In addition to our clients from the United States, we have welcomed participants from Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Australasia. We look forward to welcoming even more international colleagues in 2018!

Accommodations and Travel to/from Houston

Our Houston boot camps are held in a private teaching and meeting facility - not in a hotel conference room. There are two deluxe hotels immediately adjacent to the teaching center and two more within the beautiful Galleria indoor shopping mall located just across the street. There are also several other deluxe hotels located within a short walk. Click on “Course Enrollment” in the menu at the top of the screen and then “Hotels” in the drop-down submenu and you will be taken to a page where you can see the nearest hotels and even make reservations. The hotels include the JW Marriott, the Residence Inn by Marriott (an all-suite hotel), the Westin Galleria and the Post Oak Galleria. Located nearby are the Homewood Suites by Hilton and the Embassy Suites. The Doubletree is also a short walk from the teaching facility.

Houston has two major airports. The George H. W. Bush Intercontinental Airport has non-stop flights to and from North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and the Pacific. The William P. Hobby Airport is smaller with mostly shorter domestic flights as well as a few international flights to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Both airports offer limo service that will take you to your hotel.

Please Note: The price of $1649.00 is for tuition only. Airfare and hotel are not included. Each participant is responsible for his/her own travel arrangements, meals and lodging. We always recommend travel insurance. Please read our Terms and Conditions.

We no longer schedule boot camps in Houston from June 1 to September 15 due to the hurricane season. We may, however, schedule boot camps in areas of Texas or the US that do not experience hurricanes.

Tuition Discounts!

We offer extra discounts for groups of 3 - 5 participants ($1449.00/person) and even deeper discounts for parties of 6 or more ($1249.00/person) so invite some colleagues to join you. Since the Advanced ECG Interpretation Boot Camp is very pertinent to a number of healthcare disciplines (cardiology, internal medicine, family practice, hospital medicine, anesthesiology, nurse practitioners, critical care nurses, physician assistants, etc.), the group can be a mixture of providers from many different areas of medicine. Contact Dr. Jones at for more information.

Come join us! We’ve saved a place just for you.

If you would like to join us, please enroll as soon as possible. Don’t wait! So many people are accustomed to enrolling in courses that have essentially no limit to the number of attendees, so they feel that there is no rush. Remember: that isn’t the case here! Enrollment for the Houston, Texas-based boot camps is strictly limited to a maximum of just ten people… worldwide (boot camps presented outside Houston, Texas are limited to just twenty participants)! Whenever the class maximum is reached, registration closes abruptly and without prior announcement or warning. Enrollment consists of completing the registration information form and paying the tuition fee. We cannot reserve a place for you if we’ve not received your tuition payment.
